What it is

A mission-driven journey, not another assembly.

Students with strong emotional intelligence are more likely to stay engaged, overcome challenges, and thrive academically. But too many are navigating school without the tools to manage adversity, regulate emotions, or lead with confidence.

The R.I.S.E. Experience is built to bridge that gap. Whether your goal is a single-day spark or a deeper, workshop-based transformation, our tiered model is designed to grow with your school community — and every engagement is measured.

What schools can't always see

Every student walks in carrying something.

Grief. Trauma. Anxiety. Fear of failure. A fractured sense of identity. Invisible emotional burdens that don't show up on a transcript — but shape everything a student believes is possible for them.

Without tools to process what they carry, many shut down, act out, or give up. The R.I.S.E. Experience bridges that gap, equipping students with emotional clarity, voice, and purpose. Turning pain into purpose. Turning challenges into leadership.

The Framework

Four pillars. One transformation.

The R.I.S.E. framework is the spine of every engagement. Each pillar builds on the last — moving students from emotional awareness into purposeful leadership.

01
PILLAR ONE
Recognize

Before students can change anything, they have to name what they feel — without shame, without fixing it, without rushing past it.

Pillar One builds the emotional awareness everything else stands on. Students develop the vocabulary, awareness, and permission to actually identify what's happening inside them — and to understand that what they feel is information, not weakness.

  • Emotional vocabulary and awareness
  • Permission to feel without judgment
  • Foundation for everything that follows
02
PILLAR TWO
Identify

Once they can name it, they trace it. Where is this feeling actually coming from?

Pillar Two helps students separate who they are from what happened to them. They begin to recognize the difference between an event, the meaning they made of it, and the identity they've built around it — opening up the space where real change becomes possible.

  • Tracing emotions to their roots
  • Separating identity from circumstance
  • Naming the story before rewriting it
03
PILLAR THREE
Shift

The turning point. The moment a student stops being controlled by what happened — and starts choosing how they respond to it.

Pillar Three is where R.I.S.E. earns its name. Students learn to reframe adversity as information, choose a response instead of a reaction, and build the mindset resilience that the data shows changes most dramatically through this work — a +17.6% gain in measured engagements.

  • Reframing adversity as fuel
  • Choosing response over reaction
  • Building measurable mindset resilience
04
PILLAR FOUR
Elevate

The work doesn't end with the student. It begins with them.

Pillar Four moves students from survival into purpose — stepping into their voice, their confidence, and the realization that their story is meant to be used, not hidden. They leave not just changed, but equipped to lead the change in the people around them.

  • Voice, confidence, and purpose
  • Story as leadership tool
  • Becoming a multiplier inside the school community

Mr. Nicolas Jones brought a rare combination of vulnerability, authenticity, and relatability that truly resonated with our students. His ability to connect personal lived experiences with the challenges our teens face made a lasting impact — not just during his speech, but in the meaningful conversations that followed.

Nicolas Jones was extremely engaging. Our students were enthralled by his story — how he overcame obstacles and setbacks. His lived experiences didn't just connect with their academic success but also supported their social-emotional growth and goal setting. The tools they walked away with are invaluable. If you're considering booking Nicolas Jones, do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed.
